1. The Old Parish Church, The Knowes, Kelso TD5 7BH

This fine building is where all our main concerts are held. Built in 1773 by James Nisbet in the form of an octagon, one of only two such churches in the UK. Inside there is a balcony around the church in the centre of which, facing the altar, the Duke of Roxburghe used to sit. The venue has a large chancel stage with seating arced around. The church faces the old ruined Kelso Abbey and its graveyard and is adjacent to the large Knowes car park.

2a. The Oak Room and Saddler's Bar, Cross Keys Hotel, The Square, Kelso

Situated in Kelso’s picturesque Belgian-styled cobbled square. The present hotel was built in 1769, but in other forms, a Cross Keys Hotel has occupied the site since the earliest days of Scottish Coaching Inns. Kelso folk and live music club meet here every Friday evening for an acoustic singaround in a cabaret setting. There is also a traditional Scottish music session here on a Thursday night.

2b. Rutherfords Micropub, The Square, Kelso

Next door to the Cross Keys, Rutherfords is the first micropub in Scotland and was voted CAMRA’s Pub of the Year 2018.  This multi award-winning tiny bar serves Real Ale and has real atmosphere.  It also has a fine selection of artisan gins and whiskeys and hosts occasional music sessions.

3. The Cobbles Inn, 7 Bowmont Street, Kelso

The Cobbles is a freehouse serving fine food and Tempest microbrewery beers. It host late night music sessions every Friday night.

4. Abbey Row Centre, The Knowes, Kelso TD5 7BJ

Close by the ruined abbey and the old Parish kirk is the Abbey Row Community Centre. Once the school for the town this building offers rooms of various sizes and is where our workshops will be held.

5. Browns Newsagent, 13 Woodmarket, Kelso TD5 7AT

Tickets for all events can be obtained over the counter here prior to the day of the concert.
